Dr. Khouloud Al-Khatib: PhD - International Law

Dr. Khouloud AlKhatib is a human rights defender, lawyer, and university associate professor. She is co-founder and the president of the Lebanese Organization for Defending Equality and Rights (LOUDER) and currently the executive director of the Human Rights Center at the Lebanese International University. Dr. Al-Khatib  Teaches Public International law and Human rights courses at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Law and Political Science in Beirut. She is also an associate professor at the Research and strategic Studies Center- RSSC- at the Lebanese Army. She provided various trainings on different topics in human rights, HR Protective International, regional, and national Mechanisms and trial observation mechanisms to human rights defenders, professional groups and youth from the MENA region.  In 2018, she was selected as as board director at the Global Institute for Women’s Empowerment- GIWE- an international liberal think asupported by the UN Women’s Empower Women Global Mentor for women’s Economic Empowerment. She is a legal consultant and trainer at Geneva Institute for Human Rights. In 2016, she was elected as a board member at LSAC, Lebanese State Alumni committee, with the American University of Beirut. Dr. Al-Khatib holds a PhD degree in International Law with emphasis on human rights from the Lebanese University  She also holds two masters’ degrees in Private and Public laws from the Saggesse University and the Lebanese University.  Al-Khatib is a member of Lebanese Bar Association and a member of the Beirut and was a member at the Commission of Basic Freedoms and Human Rights till 2017.
Specialized in development of Human Rights Curriculums, and training manuals and has many references and studies in the field of human rights.

د. خلود الخطيب مدافعة عن حقوق الإنسان ، محامية ، وأستاذ مساعد  في الجامعة اللبنانية والجامعة اللبنانية الدولية. رئيسة المنظمة اللبنانية للدفاع عن الحقوق  والمساواة (LOUDER) والمدير التنفيذي لمركز حقوق الإنسان في الجامعة اللبنانية الدولية.
الدكتورة الخطيب حائزة على دكتوراه في القانون الدولي وعلى ماجستير في القانون الخاص من جامعة الحكمة وماجستير في القانون العام من الجامعة اللبنانية.
استاذة مادة القانون الدولي العام وحقوق الإنسان في الجامعة اللبنانية ، كلية الحقوق والعلوم السياسية  وأستاذة في الجامعة اللبنانية الدولية.
أستاذة مساعدة في مركز البحوث والدراسات الاستراتيجية في الجيش اللبناني.
محامية بالاستئناف مسجلة في نقابة المحامين في بيروت وكانت عضوًا في لجنة الحريات الأساسية وحقوق الإنسان حتى عام 2017.
باحثة ومدربة في عدة دورات تدريبية حول مواضيع مختلفة في مجال حقوق الإنسان ، وآليات حماية حقوق الإنسان الدولية والإقليمية والوطنية وآليات المراقبة  في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا. في عام 2018 تم اختيارها كمديرة لمجلس الإدارة في المعهد العالمي لتمكين المرأة - GIWE - وهو مركز ليبرالي دولي يدعم التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة. في عام 2016، تم انتخابها كعضو مجلس إدارة Lebanese State Alumni Community.  مستشارة قانونية ومدربة معتمدة لدى معهد جنيف لحقوق الإنسان.
مصممة أدلة تدريبية ولديها العديد من المراجع والدراسات في مجال حقوق الإنسان.
